On the eve of the new year, many people were very busy. Many people have to go to work in the field with large bags of special purchases for the Spring Festival to go home.
In the northeast of our hometown, we must eat dumplings on the eve of the thirty year of the new year, and we must eat dumplings. Many dumplings are packed with coins. (now people pay attention to hygiene, instead of peanuts or other nuts). Who eats such dumplings is a sign of good luck and auspicious meaning in the new year. Big year thirty main points longevity lamp, all night clear. On the thirty-one until the fifteen Lantern Festival, every household should hang red lanterns, at night to light the lanterns, but also points a night, not to turn off the lights, means longevity, incense constantly.

So only to wait until the third year of the first three can be swept.
The first moon does not cut his head. You can't cut your head before the first year of the year to the 1th day of the second month of the Chinese lunar calendar. If you cut my uncle's uncle, no one will cut his head in the first month. “ in February, two, the Dragon looked up to &rdquo, which means that at the beginning of February two, people will be very lucky in cutting their heads, so on this day, many people will compete to cut their heads and seek auspiciousness.
I always look forward to the new year, for that time I can wear new clothes, pay the money, set off firecrackers, etc., and so on, in a word, looking forward to the year. I really want to be so good every day!

Children, also known as "June 1 International Children‘s Day," the annual June 1, the world of children‘s festivals. November 1949, the Women‘s International Democratic Federation council meeting held in Moscow. China and other countries and representatives of countries and anger exposed the imperialist reactionaries kill and poison children. In order to protect the world‘s children to survival, health and education, to improve the lives of children. The meeting decided in the annual June 1 International Children‘s Day.
The International Children‘s Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.
The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also coincided with the conference in Geneva.
June 1 has since been observed as the ICD by numerous countries, especially by Communist countries; in the Western world the ICD is usually celebrated on other days of the year (if at all), and there is often little public awareness about these celebrations. (See the section on Germany below for further discussions.) Consequently there is sometimes a misperception that June 1 as the ICD was a Communist invention. Nonetheless, in recent years even some groups within the United States started observing the ICD on June 1.

Spring has come. It's a wonderful and amazing season.
I love spring. In spring, everything comes back to life. The grass turns green and the flowers begin to bloom. There are some flowers in my house which are beautiful and fragrant. Every time I see them, I feel happy and active.
In spring, people like playing outside, especially enjoy playing on the grass. Because of the warm weather, people wear less than in winter. They often talk and play with each other. They enloy themselves.
Spring is a season which is filled with hope. So, let's work hard to make our dream come true!

“Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.”,goes the saying, which indicates that most of our knowledge need to be combined with our practice.Or else, the knowledge will just remain theoretical and meaningless.
As we all know, knowledge is power. We can’t do anything perfectly if lack of sufficient knowledge,or rather,we may face a lot of trouble.Naturally,we may pay much attention to learning knowledge but neglect practice, whichis equally important to us in our daily life. What's learned from books is superficial after all. It's crucial to have it personally tested somehow.Take employment for example,a company may hire someone who has a lower academic degree than you just because of his abundant practical experience for the job.In their opinion, you’re new to the job,who is just a learner but not a doer.Furthernore,if we want to learn more,we should learn to practice more ,and not be afraid of making mistakes.
In conclusion, practice is to knowledge what water is to fish,so we must practice them over and over again.Only in this way can we be truly understand what we have learned and reap some other new knowledge.

Probably more food is consumed during the new year celebrations than any other time of the year.
Vast amounts of traditional food is prepared for family and friends, as well as those close to us who have died.
On new year's day, the chinese family will eat a vegetarian dish called jai.
Although the various ingredients in jai are root vegetables or fibrous vegetables, many people attribute various superstitious aspects to them.
Other foods include a whole fish, to represent togetherness and abundance, and a chicken for prosperity.
The chicken must be presented with a head, tail and feet to symbolize completeness.
Noodles should be uncut, as they represent long life.
In south china, the favorite and most typical dishes were nian gao, sweet steamed glutinous rice pudding and zong zi (glutinous rice wrapped up in reed leaves), another popular delicacy.
In the north, steamed-wheat bread (man tou) and small meat dumplings were the preferred food.
The tremendous amount of food prepared at this time was meant to symbolize abundance and wealth for the household.
The world was too small
Most of us have had an experience which reminds us the world is getting smaller. Perhaps when you went to some place far away from the city you live in and thought you knew nobody there, you were surprised to find that you ran into one of your old classmates on the street! Then both of you cried out, “What a small world!”
Why is the world getting smaller and smaller? For one thing, modern technology has created various means of transportation. And they are more and more available. Buses, trains, planes and taxis are found in most cities of the world. They carry goods and passengers to and from every corner of the world. For another thing, with the development of modern society, people are in contact with one another more frequently. Everyday we must deal with a lot of people unknown to us before. The more advanced a society, the more contacts we make with others.
So we can draw the conclusion that as long as technology makes progress, the world will grow smaller and smaller.

The world has many people, they do something and do it well. They are fantastic! They all are star. It ‘s the same name of them.
I really admire them. And my favourite star is Bill Gates. He is very rich and he change the world. My father has some books about him. It talks about how can him rich. But most importantly, he is a kind man. He and his wife help a lot of people. He doesn’t want to leave the money in the bank or for his family. He gives a lot of money for the poor or someone need money. He is friendly to other people. So someone maybe scold him but he doesn’t angry with them.
I’d like to be a person like him, not friendless or malicious. It’s a good charter, so I can happy everyday and make other people happy. Oh of course, I would like to be helpful, too!
Bill Gates is really a good person. We can study a lot of things of him.
When people succeed, it is because of hard work, but luck has a lot to do with it,too. Success without some luck is almost impossible. The French emperor Napoleon said of one of his generals, “I know he’s good. But is he lucky?” Napoleon knew that all the hard work and talent in the world can’t make up for bad luck. However, hard work can invite good luck.
When it comes to success, luck can mean being in the right place to meet someone, or having the right skills to get a job done. It might mean turning down an offer and then having a better offer come along. Nothing can replace hard work, but working hard also means you’re preparing yourself opportunity. Opportunity very often depends on luck.
How many of the great inventions and discoveries came about through a lucky mistake or a lucky chance? One of the biggest lucky mistakes in history is Columbus’ so-called discovery of America. He enriched his sponsors and changed history, but he was really looking for India. However, Columbus’ chance discovery wasn’t pure luck. It was backed up by years of studying and calculating. He worked hard to prove his theory that the world was round.
Success that comes from pure luck and no hard work can be a real problem. For example, consider a teenage girl who becomes a movie star.
Imagine she’s been picked from nowhere because of her looks. She is going to feel very insecure, because she knows she didn’t do anything to earn her stardom. On the other hand, think about an actress who’s spend years learning and working at her craft. When she finally has good luck and becomes a success, she will handle stardom better, she knows she earns it.
People who work hard help make their own luck by being ready opportunity knocks. When it comes to success. I think that hard work and luck so hand in hand.

With our world developing, more and more people neglect how to conduct theirselves. What is the most common reflection of this phenomenon is dishonesty, which is now seriously influencing relationship between people.
Being dishonest can do harm not only to others but also to ourselves, thus,we must get aware of the importance of boycoting it.Take the case of the Sanlu powder for example. After drinking Sanlu fake powder, lots of babies got sick and had big heads, nevertheless, their bodies still thin.People hateful too much, the Sanlu corporation expectedly get punished and never have choice to make up their faults.
When it comes to the significances of being the honest,I consider,we will make good relationship bewteen others, such as in the school ,in the busineand in the society.Furthermore, only if we are honest to others can others become friendly to us.Therefore, cultivate a virtue of honesty and we will get better.

Dear sir /Madam ,
My name is Li ming , a student currently studying at Qi Ming high school. I am writing, on behalf of my classmates ,to apply for the 20xx yuan worth of fund in a bid to initiate a program aimed at helping those students who are financially disadvantaged.
Being raised in families that don’t have to worry about putting food on the table need not mean oblivion to our less fortunate peers. On this account , we would appreciate it if you could sponsor our poverty –relief endeavor 。 The following is how we would go about using the money. We would spend 1500yuan purchasing some stationery for the needy students in our school 。We would inform them to pick up the school supplies themselves instead of us handing the supplies out so that we wouldn’t embarrass those who we want to help . The remainder of the fund would be used to invite a motivational speaker who was to talk about how to lift oneself out of poverty by making right academic and professional decisions .
Modest as our efforts may sound, we believe they will warm some hearts 。 We would be much obliged if you could reply at your earliest convenience .
Yours sincerely ,
Li ming

The argument is not well reasoned at all, and it might be wise for Walnut Grove's town council to turn to ABC Disposal. To begin with, despite EZ's weekly working frequency is as twice as ABC's, yet no sign has been displayed to prove that the "advantage" is necessary and fictional. For instance, if the town's garbage amount is under a particularly lower scale, which merely reaches the quantity of once disposal from ABC and hence the relatively once more from EZ is just a futile plethora. Also, even if twice disposal is applicable, it still deserves to doubt whether most citizens would like usual to choose EZ when taking into account the price of its service has been increased by $500 a month. Most citizens is highly possible to pick up a company that can offer best services while calling for relatively little money, for saving the extra $500, which to some extent is dispensable, I think, most citizens can cope with some easily handled trash with their own methods instead of singly relying on the disposal company. And another crucial point I cast great discretion on is whether the survey made last year is the persuasive reflection of the whole citizen's actual attitudes. The major deniable spot is the survey's sampling size and accordingly the ultimate respondents echoing the questions. Visualize the citizens of Walnut town are no less than 500 thousands, but ironically only the 5 hundred ones have the fortune to be asked the question and in the end the real available records making some senses are less than the 10% of the interviewers, namely the upper limit is only 50 people. Let alone whether these answers have the widely applicable representative, just judging about the number of respondents we can have justifiable rights to disregard the validity of this survey. Almost to forget to point out, that the freshly ordered 20 trucks of EZ cannot add another ponderous stake onto the balance, on the contrary, it might exacerbate the impressions of EZ in people's mind. Buying new trucks would ineluctably consume the company's property, and to take this disburse back the company must put some additional measures for compensation, thereby increasing the fees can lead the citizens to obtain the most strong conviction of loading the economic debt onto their shoulders, which finally ruins the tiny fantasy prone to the EZ. So the arguer's recommendation is just nothing but a cheap propaganda to throw to the vast residents a deceptive illusion. I believe, in general, any one having look through these vulgar tricks full of vague information and implicit causal claims like me would be likely to accept the town council's decision, after all it is more sensible than the arguer suggests.

Living in the concrete jungle, we have to admit that our busy. extravagant lives are corroding our souls little by little. Only by being close to nature can we recover our vitality and go back our true selves.
Breathing in fresh air, smelling the fragrance of flowers and listening to the sounds of birds and streams, we can release our tensions and listening to the sounds of birds and streams, we can our tensions and cleanse our minds of the tiresome things around us.
Form the journey of water, we can understand the circle of life. Also, we can learn to be kind people from the peace of mountains. We can learn a lot as we enjoy the cozy atmosphere of nature. We may consider nature as a great book, and noting in the can delight us as much as it!

wealth and happiness
There is no same opinion among people as to the view of wealth. Some people may think that wealth is the most important and powerful thing in life, while some other people believe that there are many things that cannot be bought with wealth.
As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion. There’s an old proverb, “Money can cure hunger, but it can’t cure happiness” which simply means wealth can buy us some material things but cannot make us happy and free from sadness or worries. In fact, happiness, true love, friendship, time, health and so on are the most valuable things in the world and can never ever be bought with money. Those who just try their best to make money can’t realize the true meaning of life and will be the slaves for money. They can’t enjoy happiness, for they have lost everything, time relatives, love except money. Then, what can money do? No one will share the happy moment with them.
So, I think, money is not at all powerful while happiness is more important. If we always have happiness, we’ll never give up the belief to life.

How time flies! I have studied in my school for three years. And I will graduate from middle school in a month. I am eager to share my happiness and sadness with you.
I had so many memories in three years’ life. One of them impressed me very much. I still remember, when I began to learn English, I found it too difficult. No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn’t do well in it and almost gave it up. As soon as my English teacher found my problem, she had a talk with me about how to learn English well. Since then, she has kept helping me.
Little by little, I’ve become interested in English and I’m good at it. I think I am so lucky to become one of her students. I’ve learned a lot from her. I will try to help others when they are in trouble. I think it is a happy thing to help others。
Today, our school held a spring sports meeting. Although it's sunny today, it's rather cold, even though it can't stop students' yearning for sports meet.
After the headmaster's speech, the referee announced the start of the competition.
We have three items: "time train", "change relay" and "tug of war". The time train is the first, our grade six is the first, the boys are compared to the girls. With a whistle of the referee, the game started! The boys were trying to crawl forward, and the class was as fast as they were, but a sudden break opened and the distance began. In this way, the boys won the class easily. Next is the girl. We girls were good. I didn't think we'd cut it off. The referee stopped at once. At that time, the class took advantage of this opportunity to overtake us girls and take the first place.
Next is the change of the relay, we boys and girls have won the victory, the reason is that a class of "failure" too much! Thank you for that.
The last one is the tug of war. This is our "super weakness"! We have hardly ever won since grade three! We began to compete with confidence. At the very beginning, we did a good job. After that, all the girls fell down, and some of them even broke their skin. Then started second games, because we have a fall off very painful, second has no strength, so the two lose! The first two games should be tied with them! As a result...
The sports meeting is over. I think: in fact, it doesn't matter if you don't get the first place in the sports meeting. The important thing is to let the students learn to compete, learn to cooperate and learn to communicate while enjoying and struggling. To cherish the friendship between people and people, to help each other and to unite with love.

Obama: Economy May Be a Job for More than One President
Problems with the economy have been building for decades, President Barack Obama told CBS program "60 Minutes" in an interview set to air Sunday, Dec. 11.
"I've always believed that this was a long-term project," the president said. "Reversing structural problems in our economy that had been building up for two decades, that was going to take time."
Obama was asked whether he understood the difficulties of improving the economy when he took office in 20xx.
"It was going to take more than a year. It was going to take more than two years. It was going to take more than one term. Probably takes more than one president," Obama told his interviewer.
Obama said he understood the frustrations of Americans struggling in today's economy, but compared himself to a captain of a ship in a bad storm.
"No matter how well we're steering the ship, if the boat's rocking back and forth and people are getting sick and...they're being buffeted by the winds and the rain," Obama said.
"People are going to say, 'You know whatA good captain would have had us in some smooth waters and sunny skies, at this point.' And I don't control the weather," the president added.
Chinese sovereign debt bonds that tie:
Japan wants to buy Chinese government bonds
IN THE autumn of 20xx, when he was Japan‘s finance minister, Yoshihiko Noda decried it as ―strange‖ that China had bought up as much as ¥2.3 trillion (then $25.5 billion) in Japanese government bonds while its own debt was off-limits to outsiders. Now prime minister, Mr Noda is redressing the balance. At a summit in Beijing on December 25th the two countries announced an agreement to let Japan buy Chinese sovereign debt. No sum or timetable was disclosed, though Japanese news media reported the amount will reach $10 billion once China approves Japan‘s application.
Both countries say the agreement symbolises the growing importance of their economic ties, which have long been warmer than their diplomatic ones. China is Japan‘s largest trading partner; Japan counts as China‘s biggest after America. But the deal may also be a signal. Officials in Tokyo fret that China‘s purchases of Japanese bonds fuel the yen‘s appreciation. By negotiating for approval to own Chinese debt, Japan can register its discomfort with China‘s
actions and gain some influence of its own.
Japan will not simply be able to buy whatever it likes, however. China seems happy for foreign central banks to hold limited amounts of its bonds as another step in the internationalisation of the yuan. Malaysia reportedly already enjoys the privilege, among others; Japan is set to be the first G7 country to do so. But China will not do anything to compromise its control of the exchange rate. Fred Bergsten at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a think-tank in Washington, DC, once argued that America should dispense with the niceties and exert upward pressure on the Chinese currency via the offshore market instead. He advised America to buy instruments such as the yuan-denominated ―dim sum‖ bonds now on offer in Hong Kong. Quite what effect that would have on the exchange rate is unclear, but the message would be unmistakable.
The Great Wall of Debt
That's the word out of China this morning, according to ratings agency Moody's.
Local government debt could be 3.5 trillion renminbi ($540 billion) larger than first thought, a troubling number that could expose Chinese banks to deeper losses that could eventually threaten their credit ratings, Moody's says.
It points to Bank of China and China Citic Bank as two banks that pursued particularly aggressive lending strategies in 20xx, when Chinese banks went on a lending tear.
―Banks‘ exposure to local government borrowers is greater than we anticipated,‖ Yvonne Zhang, a Moody‘s analyst, said in a statement published by Reuters.
The biggest worry
Slower economic growth in the world‘s second-largest economy could trigger a round of loan defaults, hobbling China's banking system and unnerving global markets and, of course, adding more problems to the fragile global economy. Moody's is urging Beijing to come up with a "clear master plan" to fix the problem.
This isn't the first warning about China's banking system.
As reported by GlobalPost's David Case back in January, Fitch Ratings late last year issued a troubling report on the sector.
Here's how Case put it:
Experts are warning that China‘s red-hot economy is catching a contagion of its own. The country is increasingly awash in runaway loans, a development that could have serious implications for China and the global economy.
The situation has become so precarious that Fitch Ratings, a global credit
analysis firm, issued a report last month revealing a litany of messy banking practices associated with aggressive Chinese loan making. The report stated that these practices — involving transferring loans off of banks‘ books — constitute ―the most disconcerting trend Fitch has observed in China‘s banking sector in recent years.‖
The problem is complicated by China's socialist-market approach to tweaking its economy.
Instead of using interest rates as the brake and gas pedal of economic growth, Beijing regulates its economy by upping or decreasing the amount of loans that banks can issue.
That's fine when it works. But it's also a risky strategy, particularly when transparency is difficult to come by, as is often the case in China.
So, clearly, the situation bears close watching as both Moody's and Fitch indicate.

An Eye Witness Account of a Traffic Accident
My name is Liming. I am studying at college. A week ago I saw a traffic accident, which is still vivid in my mind.
It was at about 9:00 on Saturday morning, June 15th, when I went out of the university to visit a friend of mine at another university. I was walking leisurely on the sidewalk when I heard a loud crash of two vehicles just at the T?junction about 10 metres away. Two taxis crashed together. It was a traffic accident.
I went up and found that the two taxis were badly damaged. Both hoofs were out of shape. One door of a car was knocked off and lying on the road. One driver was bleeding and another was shut in the taxi. Some people were trying to help the driver get out of the damaged car. One man was calling the traffic policeman station. A lot of cars were jammed on the road.
From the stopping track on the road, it is clear that the two taxis were driving too fast. But it is just one of the reasons. In my opinion, the taxi drivers are eager to take more passengers and make a little more money. On the other hand, both drivers don’t show concern for one another. Both of them wanted to run in front of another. Therefore, the accident is inevitable. So far, we should let the drivers keep it in their mind that a little slower, a little safer. Taking care of others’ lives means taking care of your own life.
It is universally acknowledged that the eternal theme of Jane Austen’s novels is the choice people make for marriage partners, so is in Pride and Prejudice. Mrs. Bonnet had no other wish if her five daughters could get married as soon as possible with someone wealthy. At a dancing ball, it is obvious that Mr. Bingley could not help falling in love at the first sight with Miss Jane because of her stunning beauty. Mrs. Benne was so excited that she could not hold her manner and declared publicly she would ha一ve a daughter married soon, which frightened Mr. Bingley away. Mr. Collins, a distance nephew of Mr. Bennet, came to ask a marriage to one of his cousins before Mrs. Bennet was able to get clear why Mr. Bingley left suddenly. After receiving the hint from Mrs. Bennet that Jane already had an admirer, Mr. Collins turned to Elizabeth without wasting a minute and to Miss Charlotte Lucas two days later after refused by Elizabeth. It was difficult for Mrs. Bennet to recover herself as a result of the“deadly stupid” decision made by Elizabeth until she got the news that Lydia finally married Mr. Wickham, though the marriage was built on the basis of ten thousand pounds. Mr. Darcy offered the money and did everything departing from his will just because he loved Elizabeth so much. He could not hide his feelings any more and showed his affection to Elizabeth at last, who, because of a series of misunderstandings towards him, rejected him without hesitation. This plot is the climax of the novel as the prejudice of Elizabeth to Mr. Darcy was exposed and removed since then. And the combination of the two young couples, Jane and Bingley, Elizabeth and Darcy came at last.
